Dog Caregiving at The Dog Sanctuary WI
Job Description
TDS WI has main jobs that need to be done daily to keep the dogs and their people happy and healthy. You are expected to be fully capable of performing these duties while working.
Caregiver Titles: Runner (taking dogs to and from owner and handling payments), Cleaner, and Group Supervisor (in group with dogs observing and monitoring play). Prepare to be on your feet majority of shift.
Those duties include but aren't limited to: reception work, comfortably handling groups of dogs (every size and breed, as long as they are friendly) off leash with someone or alone, giving medications to dogs, picking up dog waste and keeping the facility sanitary, working alone or with a team, and ensuring our canine guests are as happy and comfortable as we can make them. We have a strict policy on how we manage our dogs to ensure they are handled force free.
Starting pay: $12 / hour
Starting hours: Part Time, 15-20 per week
Appropriate dress: close-toe, non-slip shoes, appropriate outside weather apparel (jacket and gloves for winter, short sleeve shirt for summer), minimal jewelry (nothing dogs can rip off).
